Quick answers to common questions about StoryKeepr.
Yes! The Starter plan is genuinely free forever — no credit card required, no time limit. You can manage up to 50 books, 20 audiobooks, and 1 pen name with full access to public landing pages, the calendar, promotion tracker, ASIN lookup, and more. The Standard plan adds unlimited books/audiobooks and professional marketing tools, while the Plus plan adds unlimited pen names for multi-genre authors.
You’ll see a friendly message letting you know you’ve reached the limit. Your existing data stays exactly as it is — nothing is deleted or hidden. You just won’t be able to add new items of that type until you upgrade or remove existing ones. You can upgrade to Standard or Plus at any time from Settings → Billing.
When you create a book, StoryKeepr automatically generates a public landing page with your cover, blurb, and retailer links. The page is SEO-optimized and mobile-friendly. You get a shareable URL and a short link. When a reader clicks a retailer link, they’re taken to the appropriate store — and for Amazon, they’re automatically redirected to their local Amazon storefront. Every click is tracked so you can see analytics.
Yes! The Starter (free) and Standard plans include 1 pen name, and the Plus plan gives you unlimited pen names. Each pen name has its own color, public page, social links, and is fully independent. You can filter the entire app by pen name using the dropdown in the top bar.
No — StoryKeepr works independently. You just enter your book’s ASIN and we fetch metadata from Amazon’s public API. You don’t need to connect your KDP account, and we never need your Amazon login credentials. Retailer links are simply URLs you paste in.
ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) is Amazon’s unique identifier for products. When you enter an ASIN, StoryKeepr can automatically pull in the book title, cover image, description, and pricing. This saves you from manually entering all that data. You can find your ASIN on your book’s Amazon product page — it’s in the “Product details” section.
Absolutely. You can cancel from Settings → Billing at any time. When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Starter plan. Your data is never deleted — if you had more books than the Starter limit allows, they’ll still be there (you just won’t be able to add new ones until you’re under the limit or re-subscribe).
Yes. Your data is stored securely with encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We don’t sell or share your data with third parties. You can export all your data at any time (Standard plan), and you can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account.
If you have an Amazon Associates account, you can add your affiliate tag in Settings → Affiliate Tags (Standard plan). StoryKeepr will automatically append your tag to Amazon links on your public book pages, so you earn a commission on any purchases made through those links. You can set global tags or per-pen-name tags, and regional tags for different Amazon storefronts.
Yes, with the Standard plan you can point your own domain (e.g., books.yourname.com) to your StoryKeepr author page. This is set up through the pen name settings with a simple DNS change. StoryKeepr handles the rest, including SSL certificates.
